Co-op is really unique, in my opinion. I find that the placements you receive are closely related to your field of work and allow you to experience the challenges of working in the real world – and see how businesses work from day to day.
Fanshawe provides a lot of great mentoring opportunities. There are tons of career services at Fanshawe College which will help you out:
- A program-specific Career Services Consultant with expertise in resumes, the interview and job search strategies;
- Resume, interview and job search information and support and advice on issues relating to Employment Standards and Human Rights;
- Free job search materials and literature;
- Computers for your online job search and for preparing employer correspondence;
- Resume faxing and phone service for employer contacts; and
- Employer on-campus recruitment and employment events including the annual Career Fair.
