Want to really make your mark in this world?
Fanshawe’s unique Bachelor of Applied Arts – Integrated Land Planning Technologies combines four years of in-school study with three paid co-op work terms! You’ll learn how land and buildings are brought into development in a way that respects nature and builds cost-effective and efficient, sustainable communities. And you’ll develop the skills that employers want – academic knowledge through university-based studies and the practical experience you can only get in a college curriculum.
You’ll study landscape design and urban and regional planning, principles of engineering and architecture, aesthetics, sociology, economics, ecology, civics and history. And you’ll use industry standard software, including geographic information systems, CAD, 3-D modeling, remote sensing, spatial analysis and digital imaging/videography! Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to travel to Italy to study some of the world’s most historic cities!
You’ll graduate with a Bachelor Degree! And you’ll be ready for work in government, for firms specializing in urban and regional planning, as consultants for land development, or with landscape architecture companies in technical or supervisory roles.
